For those Shareholders who are not able to attend the Annual General Meeting in Paris on April 16th, 2009, L’Oréal offers the possibility to vote by Internet on the secured website: www.gisproxy.bnpparibas.com/loreal.html. The site will be open from March 27th until April 15th, 2009 at 3:00 pm, Paris time. In order to avoid potential congestion, we recommend not to wait until the day before the AGM to vote.

Please follow the procedure:

Holders of pure registered shares
1. Log onto the website : www.gisproxy.bnpparibas.com/loreal.html,
2. Use the identifier number and the password you usually use to consult your account on the GISNOMI website.

Holders of managed registered shares
1. Log onto the website: www.gisproxy.bnpparibas.com/loreal.html,
2. Use the identifier shown at the top right-hand corner of the form sent with the convening notice.

Holders of bearer shares
1. Contact the institution that is the custodian of your shares, to ask for a certificate of participation in order to vote online, and provide your e-mail address. The custodian institution will send on the certificate of participation to BNP Paribas Securities Services,
2. BNP Paribas Securities Services will use your e-mail address to provide you with an identifier which will enable you to connect to the secure website : www.gisproxy.bnpparibas.com/loreal.html
