L'OREAL, silver trophy 2002 for Annual General Meeting

For the eighth consecutive year, Le Revenu, in partnership with ANAF (the French national shareholders' association), and Publicis Consultants Ecocom, together with AFG-ASFFI for the first time, awarded trophies to three companies in the CAC 40 for the quality of their Annual General Meeting. This year, L'Oréal was awarded the Silver Trophy, having won the Bronze Trophy last year.

Judging procedure and set of criteria for the Trophies

A team of assessors from Le Revenu, Publicis Consultants-Ecocom, ANAF and AFG-ASFFI went to the AGMs of all the companies included in the CAC 40 as at 1 January 2002. Each assessor marked the set of criteria individually. Their individual results were then amalgamated and weighted as follows to obtain an overall mark and ranking for CAC 40 Annual General Meetings in 2002.

8 criteria were taken into account and weighted as follows:



Reactivity: 3%
Quality of communication with the AGM: 9%
Quality of the organisation of the AGM: 10%
Documentation provided to the AGM: 9%
Corporate governance: 20%
Quality of the presentation of results and strategy: 20%
Quality of discussions / Questions & Answers: 20%
Quality of communication after the AGM: 9%
