4.4.3.1 Water resource preservation at operated sites

As part of its EHS policy to reduce water consumption, L'Oréal is planning measures to preserve water resources at its production sites. This multidisciplinary approach is described in the following chart:

This diagram represents the Preserving Water Resources on Operated Sites.

As part of its EHS policy to reduce water consumption, L’Oréal has implemented a multidisciplinary approach to preserve water resources at its production sites. This strategy is built on three key actions:

  • Mapping Water Use. Utilizes the internal Waterscan Tool to assess and optimize water use at production sites.
  • Installing Equipment and Processes for Reduction. Includes initiatives such as the OPTImisation Cleaning in Place (OPTICIP) method developed by L’Oréal to optimize the cleaning of industrial equipment, a major source of water use.
  • Reusing Industrial Water. Based on the Waterloop concept, which processes and reuses industrial water for internal use.
