First half sales : + 11.5 %
L'Oréal's consolidated sales for the first half ending 30 June 1998 increased to FF 37.95 billion.
Growth compared with the same first half in 1997 was 11.5 % on published figures and 11.1 %, excluding the impact of exchange rates.
Organic growth benefited 1.3 % from the consolidation of new cosmetics, dermatological and pharmaceuticals subsidiaries, mainly in Europe.
